Give Back

The Williamsburg Area Bicyclists is primarily a recreational club.  But we also give back to the community through several service projects:

Learn

In addition to frequently enjoying food & drink after a ride, we hold monthly dinner meetings. After dinner we normally have a program related to cycling. Examples are member overviews of tours they have done, bike shop talks on equipment and updates on local cycling infrastructure improvements.

Have Fun

We all grew up riding bicycles as kids.  Remember how fun it was?  Especially the downhills!   As we grow into adulthood, the bicycle often gets forgotten.  But no matter your age, you can still experience that joy of cycling!  So dust off that bicycle (or buy a new one) and come on out - you won't be sorry!

Get Fit

Everyone wants to get in better physical shape.  But why don't we?  It's easy to find excuses and put off exercise, especially when it isn't pleasant.  The benefits of cycling for your physical and mental health are well documented.  The fact that cycling is actually enjoyable makes it a no-brainer!  You just need to get started - we can help with that!

Make Friends

Cyclists come from all walks and stages of life.  Maybe it is the endorphins released when cycling but they are generally a pretty happy bunch!  After ride ice cream, lunch or a beer helps you get to know your fellow cyclists off the bike.  Come join us!
