Cycling Without Age Ride Report

    CWA pilot Ralph Simmons took  June Waddington  and Janet Clark for a ride on this day using route VCT to Historic mile markers and back..  
    Following are some comments from this ride:
    This activity provides a wonderful opportunity for those with limited mobility or those  who cannot walk great distances to be out and about and enjoy the sights and sounds of a nature trail, with a gentle breeze provided by moving along on a bicycle driven chair. ( It was even fun in the rain)- Janet Clark.
On Thursday, the 10th, we set off from Spoke & Art in the Trishaw, passengers June Waddington and Janet Clark, piloted by Ralph Simmons.  The skies were cloudy, but no worries.  Well, shortly after leaving we got a light shower, but the intrepid three said, "Carry on."  We did.  Later on the ride we got another light shower, then a heavier one, then "actual rain."  So much for optimism.  By the time we returned to Spoke & Art, we were "Soak'n Lark."  Meanwhile, Michael Junge had called our next rider and cancelled.  Good thing!
