CANCELLED DUE TO FORECAST WET, COLD WEATHER

April 7th is National Rails-Trails "Opening Day". Locally, we will be sponsoring our "Bikes out of Hibernation" event again, to tie in with the national emphasis. A joint project of the Williamsburg Area Bicyclists and James City County Parks and Recreation, this is an great opportunity to dust off that bicycle that's been "in hibernation" with a free safety check and inspection. After your checkup, take a spin on the Virginia Capital Trail, either "on your own" or led by an experienced WAB ride leader.

A (20+ mph)

Please note that these are average speeds for the duration of the ride. If you are new to club rides and aren't sure what pace you can maintain, be conservative with your first ride! Direct all questions, cancellations or updates to our ride coordinator at ridecoordinator@wabonline.org

Helmets are required on all WAB rides.

Registration is required for all WAB rides. Pre-registration online accomplishes the following: 1) the ride leader and other participants know who is coming; 2) you are eligible for club insurance in the event of an accident (non-members 1st ride only); 3) you accept the risks involved in riding; 4) you provide necessary legal protection for club leadership and ride leaders, and 5) we have an easy means to communicate in event of a change or cancellation.
