Cap2Cap Multi-Pace Ride from CRP

If you prefer company on the Cap2Cap, which benefits the Virginia Capital Trail, join your fellow WABbits.  The Club will ride on Friday, May 9th, when the party zone is at Chickahominy Riverfront Park (CRP).  Register here so we know how many will ride.  To use the rest stops and enjoy the party zone, you must also register through the Cap2Cap site at Cap2Cap presented by Dominion Energy.  When you register, join the “Williamsburg Area Bicyclist” team and use password WAB2025.  The fee is $75 for the 100-mile, $65 for the 50-mile, and $60 for the 25-mile.  See the Cap2Cap website for more informtion.

This event will start at CRP's restrooms (just to the west of the swimming pool) at 8:00 a.m.  Riding from CRP to downtown Richmond and then returning to CRP will give you about 89 miles.  If you want the full century, ride from CRP to Jamestown Settlement and back.

This ride will be a multi-pace ride.  We will start together and then coalesce into natural pace groups.  Ride as far as you wish and at whatever pace is comfortable for you.  Stay on the VCT until you reach downtown Richmond (the turnaround point is near milepost 51.7 and is marked by a Cap2Cap rest stop).  At the end of the ride, join the party zone at CRP.  The party zone is open from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Note:  This is a non-WAB event.  As such, participants are not covered by WAB insurance.  The non-WAB Event Coordinator, if any, is not a ride leader.  He or she is merely facilitating the organization of groups to ride in the non-WAB event.
