Jamestown Island Ride

Launch: Monday 8/12 @ 6:00pm
I have a good friend coming from northern Virginia. We plan to ride 4 loops around Jamestown Island, 5 miles a loop, 20 miles total. I thought that would be a nice opportunity for others who would like pacing around the island with company at a C or D conversational pace in a generally benign environment.
Updated launch location: I need to make a change to the meet-up location. While I have frequently cycled during late hours on the island, the actual closing for parking at the visitor center is 5:30pm. We could meet at Jamestown Settlement parking lot closest to Billsburg Brewery, but two groups of cyclists also meet there and could get confusing. I think a better alternative is at the Colonial Parkway, if you keep driving colonial parkway past the brewery to the stop sign where you would turn right to the Park Visitor center and Colonial Glasshouse but then just go straight. That section curves around to the parkway. There is a pull-out area outside of the gates to the park settlement. I will be there as early as I can, targeting 5:30pm.
