Bringing Back a Favorite
Ride will start at the New Kent Winery, 8400 Old Church Rd.
Join us for a winery ride from the New Kent Winery! We will have (3) rides departing from the Winery parking lot at 10:00 - a 35-mile B+ ride led by Jamie Clark, a 31-mile B ride led by Jim Day, and a 26-mile C ride led by Rick Nevins, all on quiet country roads in New Kent County, some of the best cycling in the area. After the ride, stay and enjoy a relaxing afternoon at the winery.
The Winery Tasting Room is open from 11-6, and they have an excellent menu selection of meats, cheeses and breads. Feel free to bring your own picnic lunch, but no outside beverages are permitted. (They sell wine, bottled water and sodas).
As for the parking, as you turn into the Winery, instead of turning right into the parking lot. go straight and to the left down to the gravel lot located near the vines. They do no open until 11 am, so restrooms are not available at winery. Suggest the gas stations (a new station was just put in in the fall) just off of I-64 for the use of their restrooms.
