Something Different Ride "B"

Reed and Karen Nester are planning a series of “Something Different” rides this year. Ride starts will be about an hour from Williamsburg, and rides will be B-Pace, 30-35 miles. The ride starts will be at Osborne Landing Park and Dorey Park, both near Richmond, and Smithfield. 

For this ride, we will meet at 9:15 am on Saturday, June 3, at the U.S Post Office, 234 Main Street, Smithfield, VA. Take the 8:10 Jamestown-Scotland Ferry. There is public parking across the street behind the Taste of Smithfield, as well as a gravel lot behind the Crook law firm directly across from the Post Office. Pre-registration is requested. This is a beautiful route on some less traveled roads in the Smithfield area. The route goes from Smithfield to a stop at Pons Store at mile 11, then over to Morgart’s Beach on the James River, and then back to Smithfield. There is a rest stop at Fort Boykin at mile 25 (bathrooms available).
