Ride Description

CANCELLED DUE TO SOGGY FORECAST

The monthly Waverly ride continues with this ride through Sussex, Surry and Southampton Counties. The route will pass through the Big Woods Wildlife Management Area in Sussex County. Store stop in Wakefield and everyone is welcome to have lunch together at the Colonial Tavern in Waverly after the ride. Sara Page of RABA will lead the B group (40 miles) and Jack Huber will lead the C group (33 miles). Cue sheets will be provided at the start or you can get an advance copy on the WAB website. Meet behind the Colonial Tavern Restaurant (101 South County Drive, Waverly, VA 23890). Please park in the unpaved portion of the parking lot to leave room for the restaurant patrons. Remember that speed limits are strictly enforced in Waverly.

Registration is required for all WAB rides. Pre-registration online accomplishes the following: 1) the ride leader and other participants know who is coming; 2) you are eligible for club insurance in the event of an accident (non-members 1st ride only); 3) you accept the risks involved in riding; 4) you provide necessary legal protection for club leadership and ride leaders, and 5) we have an easy means to communicate in event of a change or cancellation.
