The following verbiage (updated July 10, 2025) will be revised after WAB's officers review the incident reporting process in late summer 2025.

Ride Leaders:

If a participant on a ride you lead sustains an injury, an Incident Report has to be filed with WAB's liability insurance provider if (a) expenses were incurred to treat the injury (e.g., the injured cyclist sought medical treatment or an ambulance was called) or (b) the nature of the injury (e.g., a possible concussion) might lead to future treatment.

If an incident occurs on your ride, please contact WAB's President (Mike Walls), Treasurer (Ken McFarland), or Ride Coordinator (Harry Levins).  One of them will work with you to complete the Incident Report (Silent Sports Incident Report 24-25, attached).  If you have any general questions about this process, please contact the WAB Ride Coordinator.

Additional information:  The Incident Report and the injured cyclist's waiver of liability (submitted when he/she registered for the ride) will be transmitted to WAB's liability insurance provider at sports@mckayinsagency.com.
