Join Colonial National Historical Park and Bike Walk Williamsburg in celebrating this year’s National Park Week by strolling, rolling, biking or walking 7 miles of the Colonial Parkway. During this 3-day event, the Colonial Parkway will be closed to vehicle access between Highway 199/Kingspoint and Route 359 at Jamestown beginning at 7 am on Friday, April 22 and ending at 6 pm on Sunday, April 24.
The National Park Service encourages visitors and community members to recreate responsibly when on NPS managed lands, including the Colonial Parkway. Face masks are required when physical distance cannot be maintained. Whether seeking wide-open spaces or exploring historic areas, visitors should follow CDC guidelines to reduce the spread of COVID-19.
Courtesy of Bike Walk Williamsburg, there will be a portable restroom and handwashing station available at Archer’s Hope. Visitors may use the indoor restrooms at the Jamestown Island Visitor Center from 9 am to 5 pm daily.
Free parking is available at the Jamestown Settlement, 2110 Jamestown Road and at the NPS Visitor Center on Jamestown Island. For more information about National Park Week visit nps.gov/npweek and nationalparkweek.org.
