2023 Bikes out of Hibernation

The Williamsburg Area Bicyclists, in partnership with BikeWalk Williamsburg, James City County Parks & Recreation, Jamestown Settlement and several local bicycle shops will once again offer the free “Bikes Out of Hibernation” event on Sat May 6. This event is held in conjunction with the annual PEDAL THE PARKWAY event the first weekend of May. May is National Bike Month. This year Bikes Out of Hibernation will be held from 9 am to 1 pm in the Jamestown Settlement Parking lot. Bring that neglected bike out of hibernation for a free once-over to get it ready for the cycling season! Local bike shops, including Trek, Conte’s, Jimmy Z’s Mobile Bike Repair, the Bicycle Co-Op of Williamsburg, volunteers from the Williamsburg Area Bicyclists and BikeWalkWilliamsburg will be on hand to offer FREE safety inspections, minor adjustments, bike fitting, tire inflation, and FREE helmets and helmet fittings. Refreshments and educational materials will be available. Afterward, take a ride on the Virginia Capital Trail or on the Colonial Parkway car free!
