Get an early start on July 4th with a bike ride, then go to Colonial Williamsburg for the reading of the Declaration of Independence by Thomas Jefferson and Salute to the States events. The reading is at 9:30 AM at the Capital building (the one at the end of Duke of Gloucester Street) and the States event is at 10:00 AM behind the Courthouse.
We will be rolling early so we make it back well in time to get bikes back in the car, stop by Aromas on the way to the Courthouse for coffee and a nibble to go, and walk to the Courthouse (~ 1 mile). Plus it will be cooler and hopefully less traffic.
Pace: B (rolling 14-16) with regrouping as needed. Other paces welcome! Length: 27 miles Roll Time: 6:00 AM Meeting Location: Williamsburg Library, 515 Scotland St, Williamsburg, VA 23185 Parking: In the Library parking lot, on the street around the library, or in the parking garage right across Boundary Street from the library Route: ridewithgps.com/routes/27926992 (this is my first go at creating a route in Ride with GPS, hope it works)

Registration is required for all WAB rides. Pre-registration online accomplishes the following: 1) the ride leader and other participants know who is coming; 2) you are eligible for club insurance in the event of an accident (non-members 1st ride only); 3) you accept the risks involved in riding; 4) you provide necessary legal protection for club leadership and ride leaders, and 5) we have an easy means to communicate in event of a change or cancellation. Please familiarize yourself with the waiver on the registration page.
