Neighborhoods Ride "D"

Reed & Karen Nester are continuing a series of easy and casual D-pace rides (10-12 mph) through local neighborhoods. These rides will be around 10 miles mostly on low-traffic neighborhood roads. No one will be left behind.

We will meet at 9:00 am on Monday, August 29 at the Quarterpath Rec Center (park by the first ball field) - look for Reed & Karen on their green tandem. Bathrooms are available at the Rec Center.

This 11 mile ride will take the York Street bike path to Colonial Williamsburg, ride through the Historic Area, ride through the W&M Campus, and explore the neighborhoods of Walnut Hills, Yorkshire and Holly Hills. We will tackle the hills on Mill Neck Road beside Lake Matoaka, and on Jamestown Road from Lake Matoaka to the Business School, so have your low gears ready. Helmets are required, fancy bicycle clothing is not.
