- Ride Description
-
This 27-mile, C-pace ride begins and ends at the lower parking lot of the Stone Brewery in Richmond (on Nicholson Street, one-half block off Main Street, just west of Rocketts Landing).
The ride will feature a sampling of every kind of riding in the city of Richmond including the canal walk, Brown’s Island and Belle Isle, some of the gravel trails of the James River Park System, riding through neighborhoods featuring multi-million dollar homes as well as modest dwellings, and through the University of Richmond campus. We’ll cross the James River twice, once on a pedestrian-bicycle bridge. We’ll stop for lunch half-way through the ride at Stuffy’s Subs on Libbie Avenue – frequently named in “Best of Richmond.” We’ll stop frequently to check out historical markers and amazing river views.
Since we’ll end the ride at a brewery, there will be a beer option in the late afternoon!
Pre-registration is requested.
