Weekly Thur evening ride.
Launch at 6:00pm from Jamestown Settlement parking lot.
Route will be adjusted as necessary based on sunset.
Good lights front and back are recommended for safety.
Pre-registration requested.
The A-pace ride is not about how hard you can ride, but about learning how to efficiently ride in a paceline. We will shoot for a ride average in the mid 18’s with top rolling speed on the flats at 20. The emphasis is getting comfortable drafting in a group and perfecting the transition at the front of the paceline and smoothly integrating back into the line.
There will be 3 free zones with regroups for those wanting to go harder. The zones are the bridge, coming and going and Wilcox Neck along with a spirited finish on Greenspring road.
For those solid B+’s who are not sure, give it a try.Relax after the ride with $1 off beers and soft drinks with the Billsburg Cycling C
