- Ride Description

Another out-of-town ride back by popular demand (rescheduled from Sept 14th)! The Tobacco Heritage Trail is an unpaved route of about 20 miles, beginning in the tiny town of Lawrenceville, VA. The trail has been constructed along a former railroad that took tobacco products from Danville, VA to Norfolk, funded by money the state of Virginia received in the 1998 settlement with the largest tobacco companies. We'll begin at the Lawrenceville, VA trail head and ride about 20 miles to LaCrosse, VA where the Blue Heron Grocery makes AMAZING sub sandwiches. Then we'll ride back. Lawrenceville is a 2-hour drive from Williamsburg.
Pre-registration is requested.
