Ride Description: We will depart the winery and head west on the VCT. We will then part ways with the trail at Sturgeon's Point Rd. and traverse local rural roads that will loop around to Courthouse Rd. We will proceed to Charles City Courthouse where we will take a hard stop for rest and recovery. Next we head east to Williamsburg on the VCT with one minor detour onto the Sandy Point Loop. There are a couple of opportunities to shorten the route if the heat becomes unbearable. Bring 2 bottles of water and top off at CRP, Charles City, and (if required) the Sandy Point Store.
Beer, wine, and food will be available at ride's end at the Gabriel-Archer Tavern. Although not a formal Winery Cycling Club ride, they have offered us the same 15% discount on food.
